South Valleys Library Listening Session

Join the Washoe County Sustainability Team in a listening session at South Valleys Library to help develop the County's first-ever Climate Action Plan. During this session, we will provide a 15 minute overview of the County’s Community Climate Action Planning process. Then, participants will form small groups to discuss ideas for reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in sectors such as transportation, energy use, and waste reduction & water conservation. Non-alcoholic beverages and light snacks will be provided.

Date, Time, & Location

The South Valleys Library listening session will be held on Saturday, June 22nd, 3pm-4pm. The South Valleys Library is located in the South Valleys Regional Sports Complex near the Mount Rose Highway and the foothills of Mount Rose, 15650-A Wedge Parkway, Reno, NV 89511.

Car and bike parking are available. The closest bus stop is located by S Virgina Street and Arrowcreek Parkway, about a 28 minute walk from South Valleys Library. For specific routes, visit RTC Trip Planner

Children are Welcome 

You and family members of all ages are encouraged to attend. Books, puzzles, and coloring activities will be available for children during the session, and licensed childcare providers will be available to supervise children ages 2 – 9 during the session

Language Interpretation

Language interpretation will be facilitated during the session via the Wordly online tool, which attendees can access via their device’s web browser using library wi-fi or via a device provided by the facilitator during the session. American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation can be requested via the RSVP form above. Please request ASL interpretation one week before the event.
